On August 22nd, 2023, PlebLab celebrated its second Startup Day of the year. More than just an event, it's a nurturing space where innovative projects, visionary builders, and emerging startups come together to learn and grow.

Last month, on August 22, 2023, PlebLab hosted its much-anticipated Startup Day, which brought together the brightest minds in the Bitcoin community. From 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the day was packed with presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, all centered around the latest innovations in the Bitcoin space.

The event started with a coffee and breakfast session, setting the tone for a day of learning and collaboration. Parker Lewis then took the stage at 9:00 a.m. to discuss the intricacies of building a successful Bitcoin company. This was followed by builder presentations, where projects showcased their unique ideas and engaged in group discussions.

Some of the standout presentations included:

• Sovereign Stack by Farscapian delved into the possibilities of a decentralized sovereign AWS.

• Bolt 12 Prisms by Damian Goodenough explores the nuances of this new specification.

• RGB Colors Coins in Secret by Hunter Beast is a colorful take on post-blockchain smart contracts.

• Kardashev BTC, a joint presentation by Santiago, Arturo, and Max, looked at the future of Bitcoin mining in Mexico.

• Anon P2P Swaps with Lightning Box Hardware by Topher Scott & Uncle Jim, a deep dive into peer-to-peer transactions in the real world.

In between these insightful presentations, attendees were treated to a gourmet lunch curated by Chef Johnny Ochoa. The culinary delights were not limited to the plate, as Chef Johnny also presented his culinary bitcoin journey.

The afternoon was dedicated to panel discussions, from advising Bitcoin startups to adopting Bitcoin in Mexico. These panels featured bitcoin startup founders like Paul Miller of Mutiny, Keyan of Stacker News, Ben Price of Bitcoin Company, Vivek of Coinkite, and many more.
